STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend recognizes that certain capital expenditures are necessary within the Water Works Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana as follows: SECTION I. The sum of $254, 000 is hereby appropriated from the Water Works Depreciation Fund as set forth below: 416. 0 Bldg. & Structure Improvement $22, 000 428 . 0 Office Equipment 11, 000 429. 00 Other Equipment 30, 000 435. 0 Plant & Equip.-Meters 50, 000 436. 0 Gen. Funds - Water Mains 141, 000 Total $254, 000 SECTION II. Ann Puzzello , Chairman Personnel & Finance Committee Dear Councilmen: We are requesting the appropriation of $254 , 000 from the Water Works General Fund to the Depreciation fund. The money will be used to offset expenditures as a result of our water main extension program and the recent installation of meters in the River Commons area.
