CONCERNING APPLICATION FOR A
CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS

DESCRIPTION OF STRUCTURE/ SITE: One and a half story gable-front structure on a cut fieldstone founda-
tion. Walls are of yellow brick laid in a common bond. The roof is covered in slate shingles with a shed dormer on
the east face. A concrete stoop and steps with metal railing allows access to the north entrance. Mix of replace-
ment units and mid-20th century commercial windows. A parking lot for the office is on the south side.
ALTERATIONS: COA 2018-1102 allowed for the installation of existing three-light windows with Andersen
Aluminum-clad (two over two) divided lite windows. Structure was heavily modified and converted to commercial
use in 1957.
APPLICATION ITEMS: “Installation of blade sign.”
DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: The applicant has requested approval to:
• Install a 24” wide x 40” high blade sign made of Aluminum tubing and aluminum sign faces, with vinyl printed
graphics and paint, installed into the masonry with anchor bolts.

Good morning!
I appologize because I did not realize Todd didn't put the measurements in
the rendering and didn't see this email until this morning.
The size of the sign will be 24" w x 40" h
The materials will be: Aluminum tubing and Aluminum sign faces, vinyl
printed graphics and paint and anchor bolts to anchor directly to brick
facade.
No lighting.

Do you have final dimensions of the proposed design?
How will the sign be mounted to the masonry? Installation in the mortar of the
masonry (and now directly into the brick) is preferred.
