Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the U.S . Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) . The Commission is reimbursed by EEOC and HUD for processing employment and housing discrimination charges. In October, 1984 , $57 ,200 in federal funds ($46 ,200 . 00 from EEOC and $11,000. 00 from HUD) was appropriated to be administered by the Commission. Because of an increase in EEOC funding and a decrease in HUD funding, it has become necessary to submit the attached Ordinance as a substitute for the Ordinance passed in October of last year. In addition, we are also placing before you for your consideration an Ordinance appropriating $83,500. 00 that the Commission expects to receive from EEOC and HUD in FY86 . Your favorable approval of both Ordinances is appreciated. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding this matter.
