For matching of undamaged areas I have estimated a siding replacement of "like for like" wood siding to ensure quality and cohesiveness of exterior siding. Partial replacement is not a viable option due to the fact that wood siding is tongue and groove and partial repairs to tongue and groove wood siding cannot be performed up to code as they overlap each other. All siding must be removed and replaced from the top down to ensure siding overlap laps correctly as wood siding must be installed this way to ensure the STR does not have water penetration as well as patching the siding would not ensure nor would we be able to warranty the product if installed incorrectly or patched. 15.
