AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $13 , 700. 00 FROM THE FEDERAL
ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE GENERAL
REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND FOR THE 1986 SUMMER CLEAN-UP
PROGRAM.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Funds are needed for equipment and supplies for the 1986 Summer
Clean - Up Program. Personnel costs will be paid through the JTP program.
Monies are available within the General Revenue Sharing Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I . That the sum of $13 ,700 . 00 is hereby appropriated
for the year 1986 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund commonly referred
to as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is to be
administered by the Department of Code Enforcement and will be distributed
as set forth below:

Dear President Beck:
The accompanying ordinance appropriating $13 ,700. 00 from the
General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund is being filed for 1st reading of
the March 10 , 1986 Council meeting. The monies will be used to fund.
the Neighborhood Code Enforcement 1986 Summer Clean-up Program. As
you are aware, this has been an ongoing project which enables the
City of South Bend to clean-up and maintain either publicly owned
vacant lots or properties owned by citizens who will not clean them
up themselves.
The request is reduced substantially for 1986 due to being
able to use the equipment purchased last year.
