AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL
$30 ,000 . 00 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET
FUND TO PROJECT R&S 8506, SR 23 & OLIVE
STREET WIDENING AND SIGNALIZATION
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to meet existing and proposed traffic demands and
to provide for safe and efficient movement of vehicles, certain
improvements are necessary for some streets within the City of
South Bend.
Additional funds are now needed to purchase right-of-way and
pay for the cost of these improvements. These funds are available
from the Local Road and Street Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
Section I : The following additional sum of money is hereby
ordered set apart from the Local Road and Street Fund for the
project in the amount set forth below:

Widening and Signalization:
Section II: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor and the State Board of Tax Commissioners.

S .R. 23 & Olive Street
Dear Councilmen:
The requested appropriation is for street and traffic improve-
ments at the State Road 23 and Olive Street intersection. This
additional appropriation reflects funds needed for the project as a
result of formal bids being received.
The Local Road and Street fund balance after this
appropriation is $716 , 196 . 36 .
