Agenda: Bill No. 06-13—Salary Non-Bargaining 2013
Dr. David Varner, Chairperson, Personal &Finance Committee opened the hearing with all members
present. Committee member Henry Davis arrived a few minutes late; but was present for the vote.
City Controller Mark Neal made a brief presentation of the only item scheduled for consideration, Bill No.
06-13. Providing two handouts (attached) Mark explained the bill was necessary to correct a
mathematical discrepancy between the 2013 budgeted dollars and those listed in the 2013 salary
ordinance. He characterized this as a scrivener's error corrected by this housekeeping bill.
After brief discussion Karen White moved the bill be sent to Council favorably. Valerie Schey seconded
and all affirmed.
Under miscellaneous Oliver Davis asked the Controller to provide an accounting of funded yet, to date,
unfilled positions in the city workforce.
Derek Dieter announced there would be reception for the public to"meet and greet"the new police chief
at the Kroc Center on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.
There being no further business to come before the committee at this time, Chairperson Varner adjourned
the meeting at 3:36 p.m.
