AN ORDINANCE VACATING FUND 91 AND TRANSFERRING THE
MONIES THEREIN TO YOUTH SERVICES BUREAU OF ST.
JOSEPH COUNTY, INC .
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
The Youth Service Bureau which was formerly a part of the
City of South Bend has become a separate not-for-profit organization.
The City of South Bend wishes to transfer to the newly created Youth
Service Bureau of St. Joseph County, Inc . , those grant funds re-
ceived by the Youth Service Bureau and fees earned through the Run-
away Shelter during the time the agency was a City of South Bend en-
tity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the $66,505. 63 remaining within Fund 91 be
transferred to the Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County, Inc .
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval
by the Mayor.

Dear President Beck:
The enclosed ordinance is being filed for first reading of the
September 8, 1986 Council meeting. The ordinance would transfer
the sum of $66 ,505 . 63 from fund 91 to Youth Service Bureau of St.
Joseph County Incorporated. This amount represents those grant
funds received by the Youth Service Bureau and fees earned through
the Runaway Shelter during the time the agency was a City of South
Bend department. As you are aware, the Youth Service Bureau was
spun off into a not-for-profit corporation as of July 1, 1986. At
that time, a complete accounting of all funds earned was not
possible. The above action will, therefore, settle the matter
so that the Youth Service Bureau has access to all the revenue it
had earned.

of the Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County Incorporated.
