SUBJECT: Update on Fellows St. Project
The Fellows St. project as approved by Commission on 10 -21 -12 is currently in design phase.
Christopher Burke Engineering has completed an initial design of the intersection which adds a left
turn lane to Fellows, North of Ireland Road. The right -of -way acquisitions to implement this design will
include one full residential property acquisition and several partial acquisitions.
Additionally, Cardno JFNew was contracted by the Commission to study the drainage issues and
design cost effective sustainable solutions to the neighborhood concern. The consultants have
completed their initial study and provided solutions that utilize permeable pavers and swales to
address the drainage issues on Fellows. A public meeting will be organized in coming weeks to
provide this information to the neighbors.
The following is a list of anticipated costs for the intersection design and drainage solution:
