AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $66,000. 00 FROM THE
FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND COMMONLY REFERRED
TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND TO PROVIDE
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN CONNECTION WITH CERTAIN
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Funds are needed to meet the cost of technical assistance
provided by Project Future in the promotion of Economic Development
activities within the City of South Bend .
Funds are available within the General Revenue Sharing Fund .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
SECTION I: That the sum of $66,000. 00 is hereby appropriated
for the year 1986 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund commonly
known as the General Revenue Sharing Fund . This appropriation is to
be administered by the Department of Administration and Finance and
will be distributed as set forth below:

SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the
Mayor.

Dear President Beck:
The enclosed ordinance is being filed for first reading
at the June 23rd, 1986 Council meeting. The ordinance
appropriates $66,000 from the Revenue Sharing Trust Fund as
the City' s contribution to the Project Future program for
1986 . As you are aware, Project Future is working in con-
junction with the City of South Bend to promote economic
development in the community and surrounding area. The City
feels that Project Future' s activities have enhanced our
efforts in the area of economic development and, therefore,
that the contribution is well spent. If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact my office.
