AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
TRANSFERRING $407,914 AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN FUND 212 "COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT" IN THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Statement of Purpose and Intent:
In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of Community Development Block Grant Funds in
accordance with the community's Housing & Community Development Plan, transfers are needed:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as
follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $407,91 is hereby transferred among accounts as set forth below:

Dear Council Member:
The attached bill for your consideration and approval will transfer $398,852 in Community Development
Block grant funds as part of the 2004 Action Plan of the 2000 - 2004 Housing & Community
Development Plan, and $9,062 which is a transfer requested by South Bend Heritage Foundation. As you
remember, this plan, and the proposed allocation of funds, was made public September 30, 2003 fora 30-
daypublic comment period. The plan was also the subject of 2 public hearings on October 9th. This bill
is a companion to the CDBG general appropriation bill also filed today.

meeting.
