AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL
$5,500.00 FROM THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM
IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR CLEANING AND TUCK-
POINTING OF MASONRY AND TERRA-COTTA OF THE
FACADE AND FOR PAINTING AND REGLAZING OF
WINDOWS AND DOORS AT MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
The Morris Civic Auditorium is owned by the City of South
Bend and is managed under the control of the Century Center Board of
Managers .
The Century Center Board of Managers has determined that
it would be expedient and in the public interest to undertake
cleaning and tuck-pointing of masonry and terra-cotta of the facade
and for painting and reglazing of windows and doors at Morris Civic
Auditorium. Additional money is available for this purpose in the
Morris Civic Auditorium Improvement Fund, because of a contribution
from the South Bend Symphony.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows :
SECTION I. The amount of $5,500.00 is hereby
appropriated and ordered set apart out of the Morris Civic
Auditorium Improvement Fund for a contract for cleaning and tuck-
pointing of masonry and terra-cotta of the facade and for painting
and reglazing of windows and doors at Morris Civic Auditorium.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval
by the Mayor.

It is requested that you consider and give favorable approval to the ordinance
appropriating $5,500.00 from the Morris Civic Auditorium Improvement Account to
be combined with an amount $15,000.00 already appropriated to complete the facade
repairs on the east wall of the Morris Civic Auditorium.
