AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$86,000. 00 FROM THE STANLEY COVELESKI REGIONAL
BASEBALL STADIUM FUND TO ACCOUNT 399.0, OTHER
CONTRACTUALS.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
Funds are needed for excavation costs, additional
architectural and engineering fees and additional construction
costs for the Stanley Coveleski Baseball Stadium Project.
Funds are available within the Coveleski Regional Stadium
Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE Common Council of
the City of South Bend, Indiana:
SECTION I. That the sum of $86,000.00 is hereby
appropriated for the year 1986 from the Coveleski Regional Stadium
Fund to be administered by the Department of Public Works and will
be distributed as set forth below:
399.0 Other Contractuals $86,000. 00
SECTION II. That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from this day after its passage by the Common Council
and approval by the Mayor.

Dear President Beck:
Enclosed are two ordinances being filed for first reading of the May
12 , 1986 Common Council meeting. The ordinances appropriate $86 , 000 . 00
from the Stanley Coveleski Regional Baseball Stadium Fund and
$55 ,500 . 00 from General Revenue Sharing to provide additional monies
necessary for excavation costs, architectural and engineering fees, and
additional construction costs associated with the Baseball Stadium.
As you are aware, the Board of State Tax Commissioners has granted
their approval to the lease process. To meet our anticipated
completion schedule, funding must be provided so that work may
continue.
