AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $102, 997.00
AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE
DIVISION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of
Community Development Grant Funds and that the immediate needs of
specific activities are met, transfers among accounts are
necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the` City of 'South-Bend, Irid'iana:
SECTION I. The sum of $102, 997. 00 is hereby transferred
among accounts as set forth below.
Reduce the following accounts:

SECTION II. No costs will be incurred or funds expended
for any activities in this ordinance prior to an official release
of funds received from the United States Department of Housing and
Urban Development as may be required.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

Dear Council Members:
The attached bill transfers funds between accounts within the
Division of Community Development. The reductions take unused
balances remaining in various accounts as well as program income
received in late 1986. We request the funds be appropriated into
three accounts:
(1) 83-101 BoH Administration which spent $47 . 00 over its
budget.
(2) 84-302 El Campito Rehabilitation which mistakenly
transferred all funds to 85-302, for the same
project, although $2, 950 . 00 had been expended
from 84 funds.
(3) 87-102 Housing Rehab Fund to allow the Housing
Development Corporation to participate
in special housing development projects.
