Mrs. Ali Al-Shai noted that she had met with the Lincoln Way West Steering Committee and would like to move forward on the vacation for her husband's business. She noted that the alley in question is subject to litter and that problems resulting from people in the alley negatively affect her husband's used car business. Gary Gilot stated that he is unaware of any further report from the Fire Department, noting that they did not object to the closing in their initial report. Mr. Gilot objects to the closing since it would create a"T"alley which would be against currently engineering policies for the City. John Oxian stated that the alley should be kept open. Following discussion, Council Member King made a motion, seconded by Council Member Kirsits that Bill No.44-01 be recommended unfavorably to Council. The motion passed.
