The Democratic Party and federal government made a promise to the ration in
the aftermath of the COVID-ig pandemic that they would, Build. Baru. Better.
In effort to make good on that commitment, the federal government sent the
City of South Bend. 5 million dollars to uplift economically disadvantaged
communities, businesses and organizations. Residents and neighborhood
organizations on the far westside feel neglected after proposing a budget to the
Black members of the South. Bend Common Council bade in 2c)2.1 to no avail.
They didn't deliver.
The South Bend. Common Council will be majority Black at the start of 4.
As the City and Council prepare to set the ZCZ4 budget, Councilman Davis and
Far Westside neighborhood. associations will revisit budget priorities.
