HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-22-01 Health & Public Safety Committu *port: atxi Dublit ftfgtv commitfr The January 22, 2001 meeting of the Health and Public Safety Committee was called to order by its Chairperson, Council Member Andrew Ujdak at 5:12 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting room. Persons in attendance included Council Members Aranowski, Pfeifer,Varner, Ujdak, Kirsits, Kelly, Coleman and White; Nancy Sulok of the goat nb Zrtbung, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney. Council Member Ujdak noted that the meeting was called to review Resolutio No. 01-6 which would approve a proposed interlocal agreement for fire and rescue services in the annexed portion of Centre Township at the southern limits of the City. There was no one present from the City Administration to make a presentation. Council Members Kirsits, White and Ujdak noted that they had several questions on the proposed agreement. Following discussion, Council Member White made a motion, seconded by Council Member Kirsits that Res. No. 01-6 be continued until February 12th. The motion passed. Council Member White inquired about policies governing providing police services for businesses and clubs. She suggested that an update from the City Administration be sought. Council Member Udjak suggested that this be discussed at the Committee meeting to be held on February 12th.
