The August 28, 2000 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to order
by its Chairperson, Council Member Karen L. White at 3:30 pm in the Council Informal Meeting
room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Aranowski, Kelly, King, Varner,
Coleman,White and Kirsits;and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand,Council Attorney.
Council Member White noted that Bill No. 47-00 regarding the Houser Annexation has
been requested to be continued until October 9th; that Bill No. 52-00 regarding the designation of
the JMS Building as an historic landmark has been requested to be continued until October 9th;and
that Bill No. 45-00 regarding the designation of the building at 3020 Buckingham as an historic
building has been requested to be continued until November 13th. She further noted that each such
request has been made by the petitioner for each Bill.
Following discussion, Dr. Varner made a motion, seconded by Council Member Coleman
that Bill Nos. 00-47 and 52-00 be continued until the October 9th Council meeting and that Bill
No. 45-00 be continued until the November 13th Council meeting. The motion passed.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Council Member White
adjourned the meeting at 3:33 p.m.
