e ter is u ·tt d to our Honorable Board
in connection with a petition for the vacation of an alley,
lying between Lots No . 12 and 13 in Studebaker Sub-Division
in the City of South Bend. The purpose hereof is to explain
the situation there existing.
The lots above referred to front on Kosciuszko
Street, with an alley also at the rear of said lots. This
alley in the rear runs from Huron Street to Division Street
and is parallel with and adjoining t he right of way of the
New Jerse , Indiana and Illinois Railroad. Therefore, ewery
lot in this block fro t on Koaouiezko Street and has an
alley at t e rear. ---------~------------The portio of the alley sought to be vacated is
t e gth of the lots in question---one hundred twenty and
eight tenths (120.8) feet. The only lots served, or that
could reasonably be served by the alley sought to be vacated
are the two lo.ts above mentioned. The owners of both of
said lots desire its vacation.
The attached petition is signed by the lot owners
