Bo ard, that on the Plat of Kent and Garrison's Sub-division of Out Lot
No. One (1) of Henricks and Gr ant's Addition to t he Town, now City of
th and Jackson 's Sub-di v ision, is
shown a blind alley or cul-de-sac, nine (9) :feet wide, laid out for
access to the rear of lots adjoining it on the East a nd West, and not
a thoroughfare, or connect.ing with any other alley or street, which
alley runs North f~om Marion Street and lies West of and adjoining
Lot no . Eleven (11) of said Kent and Garrison 's sub-divi'sion. That

wife, are the ovme· s of said Lot No . Eleven ( 11 ), and that your petitioner
the Incliana Lumber and Manufacturing Company are the owners of land
on the West side of said alley, to-wit: Lot No . Sixteen (16) and a
s trip nine (9) feet wide off of the ·East s ide of ~ot No. Twe lye (12),
or Smi t h and Jackson 's Sub-division of, Lots Nos . 7, a, 9, 12, 1 3 , 14,
and 15 of said Kent and Garrison's Sub-division. That all said
petitioner s own the s outh half(½) of the vacated Kankakee Mill Race
on the North o:f and adjoini ng t heir real estate af'oresaid, at the end
of said platted alley,, and that one .. William K~~ill owns t he North half
of said Mill Race, lying North of t heir said. portions or said Mill Race .
That said short alley is of no general public utility, and is only
used by the s aid owners adjoining it on the East and West, :for t l1eir
private use , for access to the rear of' the~r respective premises , and
they desire the sa1 e to be clos ed as a public alley.
