Technical Work Reports Community Discussion We are almost here Policy for Short-Term Network 50 % of service pursues goal of RIDERSHIP 5 0 % of service pursues goal of COVERAGE Short-Term Network Goals •Transpo Board requested a draft network of 60% Ridership and 40% Coverage •The Short-Term Plan will be fairly similar to the Coverage Network Transpo Coverage Concept Short-Term Network Route Changes Example Route 7 Notre Dame Service Current Route 7 Short-Term Network Proposed Route 7 Short-Term Network Route Changes Example Route 7 Service to Notre Dame Service Current Route 7 ND Campus Stops Short-Term Network Proposed Route 7 ND Campus Stops Policy for Additional Funding Network Growth Concept 60% more service than Ridership and Coverage Concepts Additional Funding Network •Additional Funding Network will show what’s possible with about a 80% increase in funding for service –about $9 million annually •Similar to the Growth Network •Will include a menu of options for improvements like: •Creating a Frequent Transit Network of five Transpo routes running every 15 minutes •Sunday service •Saturday Evening service Route 17 Campus SWEEP Potential Route 17 Campus SWEEP Was Not Studied, Since it’s funded by St. Mary’s Nortre Dame, Holly Cross Current Route 17 –Untimed Connections to Route 7 Could this be the future Route 17 –One Seat Ride to Downtown?NOT in Draft Plan, Double Current Route 17 SWEEP Investment Idea proposed by MACOG -not currently part of the Connect Transit Plan as of 11/14/2022 Engagement Opportunities •Draft Plan to be released December 5 •Major website update with Draft Plan materials: www.connecttransitplan.com •Opening online survey on Draft Plan •Survey to remain open through end of January 2023 •Ads start appearing on buses and at bus stops •Staff to run pop up tables at South Street Station and ride buses to gather survey responses and encourage participation. •One-on-one follow ups with key partners •Social media engagement via Facebook –Please Share •E-blasts, please help us share and MACOG Gazette •Transpo Board Update at November 21 Meeting •MACOG Board Update at December 14 Meeting Stakeholder Meeting •Stakeholder Advisory Group •Workshop and Draft Plan Overview with invited Stakeholders •December 8, 2022 from 2-4pm •Technology Resource Center, 1165 Franklin Street #100, South Bend •We welcome you all to attend and participate, if you can.
