Animal Welfare Commission Members Present: Dr. Mariah Covey, Pam Wesolowski, Christina Gerken,
and Barb Leavell
City Staff Present:Lindsay Cueller -SBARC Shelter Manager, Tom Panowicz-
Attorney for SBARC, and Kylie Connell- Attorney for
AWC , Marissa Frattini, and Pam Meyer-Chief

1.The meeting was called to order by Dr. Covey at 1803 hours.
2.Lindsey Cueller discussed shelter reports from September 2022.
A.SBARC is starting to see an increase in Parvo cases.
B.SBARC received several volunteer applications on First Fridays.
3.The structure for how SBARC and the commission will break down the ordinance to start re-tooling it.
A.October 6, 2022 will start with articles one (1) through seven (7).
B.November 3, 2022 articles eight (8) through the end depending how long the ordinance will take.
4.As of this meeting there are no scheduled hearings until November.
A.The last hearing with the streamlined rules went well and the hearing ran smoothly.
