The November 22, 1999 meeting of the Personnel and Finance was called to order by its
Chairperson, Council Member James Aranowski, at 4:55 p.m. in the Council informal
meeting room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members: Aranowski, Varner, Ujdak, Pfeifer,
Kelly, Coleman, and King; Ron O'Connor and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
Council Member Aranowski noted that the first item to be reviewed by the Committee was
Bill NO. 102-99 which would establish a special grant fund.
Ron O'Connor,Director of Finance made the presentation. He noted that the new fund is
needed to avoid the commingling of miscellaneous grant and special funds from the federal
and state governments and from private gifts. All monies deposited into the new fund
would be exclusively used for the stated intent in the grant application or as requested by
the donor.
Following discussion, Council Member Karl King made a motion, seconded by Council
Member Varner,that Bill No. 102-99 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion
passed.
There being no further business to come before the Committee,Council Member
Aranowski adjourned the meeting at 5:00 p.m.
