Zoning and Annexation Committee

The August 23, 1999 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to order
by Council Member David Vanier at 4,37 p.m. in the Council informal meeting room; since
both the Chairperson and the Vice-Chairperson of the Committee were absent.
Persons in attendance included Council Members: Coleman, Varner, Aranowski, Kelly,
and King;John Byorni,Tim Minnie, Terry Bland, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
Council Member Varner noted that there was no quorum present, however that those
Council Members present would hear a presentation on Bill No. 43-99 which is a rezoning
request for the property located at 1422 East Calvert Street.
Mr. John Byorni noted that the proposed rezoning comes to the Council with a favorable
recommendation from both the staff and the Area Plan Commission.
Mr. Tim Minnie, the owner of the property, stated that he needs the rezoning in order to
sell the property as residential real estate and for the prospective owners to qualify for a
mortgage.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Dr. Varner adjourned the
meeting at 4:40 p.m.
