The Zoning and Annexation Committee

The October 25, 1999 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to
order by its chairperson, Council Member John Hosinski at 4:15 p.m. in the Council
informal meeting room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members: Aranowski, Varner, Kelly, King,
Hosinski, Ujdak, Coleman and Sniadecki; John Byorni, Dea Andrews, Kathleen
Cekanski-Farrand and Terry Bland.
Council Member Hosinski noted that the first item on the agenda was to review Bill No.
61-99 which is a rezoning request for the property located at 515 North Cushing Street.
John Byorni,Assistant Area Plan Director, showed a copy of the proposed site plan to the
Committee and noted that both the staff and the Area Plan Commission send the proposed
ordinance to the Council with a favorable recommendation. (report attached)

She noted that the rezoning is necessary in order to allow additional parking.

South Bend Heritage Foundation plans to move its main offices to the building located at
801-807 Lincolnway West. She presented a letter, copy of an architectural drawing,
aerial view and proposed final site plan of the Colfax Campus of South Bend Heritage
Foundation (copy attached). She also noted that the project will use"Build Indiana Funds"

Following discussion, Council Member Varner made a motion, seconded by Council

There being no further business to come before the Committee, Council Member Hosinski
adjourned the committee meeting at 4:25 p.m.
