Bauer stated alternatives are being worked out regarding constitutional questions being raised. Bauer stated that he cannot say alternative language will be ready by next the next committee meeting, but they are working on it. Committee Member Niezgodski clarified her ‘nay’ to the meeting being tabled until August 22nd due to Committee Member Davis promising at the last meeting that the presentation will be brought forth. Niezgodski stated that a news reporter on July 27th reported the two bills are not going forth due to the Council. Niezgodski stated for the record that the bills are being postponed due to legal and not due to the Council. Niezgodski stated that if the presentation for the bills is not done at the next meeting, then it should be tabled indefinitely due to the confusion of the bills to the public and that she doesn’t want the public to think the Councilmembers are not supporting the bills. Niezgodski stated the bill should be tabled to a more realistic date in the future. EXCELLENCE ACCOUNTABILITY INNOVATION INCLUSION EMPOWERMENT 455 County-City Building 227 W.
