CALL TO ORDER — 6:00 pm II. ROLL CALL III. PUBLIC HEARING a. CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS i. 2022-1117 937 Riverside Drive Riverside Drive LHD, Ordinance #7469-85 (Audio Position: 00:37) SARAH ANDREWS PRESIDENT The staff report was presented by: Adam Toering Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends dividing the project into three components' COA 2022-1107-1 (Remove later replacement vinyl window in rear first floor room (adjacent to garage door), side over opening) — Staff recommends approval. The vinyl replacement window is not original to the structure. The proposed replacement siding materials are appropriate for the structure. COA 2022-1107-2 (Remove lower sash of large double hung window in rear first floor room, creating a fixed `picture' window with upper multi -light sash, side over opening, retaining/replicating existing trim and molding) — Staff recommends approval. The resizing of the double -hung window will retain the existing upper sash. The lower sash should be retained (or made available) for reuse on other projects. COA 2022-1107-3 (Remove western -most double hung sash on rear second story fagade, side over opening, retaining/replicating existing trim and molding) — Staff recommends approval. The double hung window will be replaced with new siding and will replicate the existing trim/molding. The sashes should be retained (or made available) for reuse on other projects. Staff recommends approval (on all components). The applicant was represented by: Paula Richardson, 937 Riverside Dr, South Bend, IN and Wes Butcher, 128 Rhode St, Roseland, IN served as the applicants. Jefferson Blvd. South Bend, Indiana 46601 p 574.235.9371 f 574.235.9201 southbendin.gov CITY OF SOUTH BEND I HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION Upon a motion by David Wyncott, seconded by Andrew Jones, with Joan Downs Krostenko abstaining and carried by vote, the Historic Preservation Commission APPROVES Certificate of Appropriateness Application #2022-117 in it's entirety without splitting into multiple components Vote: 4-0-1. Four in favor, none opposed, one abstained COA#2022-1117 is APPROVED. IV. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR V. REGULAR BUSINESS a. APPROVAL OF MINUTES i. October 17, 2022 minutes Upon a motion by Joan Downs Krostenko, seconded by David Wyncott, and UNANIMOUSLY carried by vote, the minutes from the October 17, 2022 Historic Preservation Commission are approved. b. STAFF REPORTS i. Administrative Approvals After due consideration, no action was taken. ii. 1636 Lincoln Way West — Demolition Report c. COMMITTEE REPORTS i.
