HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-10-97 Public Works & Property Vacation Qtommftttt .tport: Public Works and Property Vacation Committee to the COmmOn tOUntttl Of the Cttt of South Stub: The February 10, 1997 meeting of the Public Works and Property Vacation Committee was called to order by its Chairperson, Councilmember David Varner, at 4:25 p.m. in the Council informal meeting room. Persons in attendance included Councilmembers Kelly, Aranowski, Pfeifer, Broden, Ujdak, Coleman, Hosinski, and Sniadecki; Ann Kolata, Don Porter, Chief Gunn, Sue Hodgson,Jon Hunt,Assistant Chief Kilgore and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. The Committee reviewed Bill No. 6-97 which is a request to vacate certain property south of Keasey Street. Ann Kolata made the presentation. She noted that the overall purpose of the proposed vacation is to prepare a site for the development of the Memorial/Southeast Urban Care Center. Councilmember Varner noted that all of the reports from all of the various departments were favorable and that the Board of Public Works sent a favorable recommendation to the committee(copy attached). Following discussion, Councilmember Ujdak made a motion, seconded by Council member Aranowski,that Bill No. 6-97 be recommended favorably. The Motion passed.
