Title Sheet and Request to Advertise
DATE: October 3, 2022
The Department of Public Works Division of Engineering and Division of Utilities requests the Board
of Public Works approval of a Title Sheet and Request to Advertise for the receipt of Public Bids for
Project No. 119-069B Wastewater Treatment Plant Final Clarifiers 1, 2, and 3 Rehabilitation at its
October 11, 2022, Board Meeting.
Background
This project was originally bid as project 119-069 WWTP Secondary and Disinfection
Improvements. The project was split into two projects to address the cost of the project.
The revised project is divided into two smaller scale projects:
119-069A WWTP Final Clarifiers Nos. 4-5, Aeration Tanks Nos. 1-4, and Disinfection
Improvements is in the final stage of construction and will be completed in Q4- 2022
119-069B WWTP Final Clarifiers 1, 2, and 3 Improvements (Current Project for Bidding)
This project will include the replacement of Final Clarifiers 1, 2, and 3 mechanism, conversion of
the tanks from radial feed to up flow clarifiers, influent gate relocation, replacement of the
skimming mechanism, new concrete trough, overflow weirs, and instrumentation and controls.
This project addresses some hydraulic and treatment equipment improvements in concert with
Consent Decree compliance requirements.
