The January 9, 1995 meeting of the Utilities Committee was called to order by
Council Member Cleo Washington at 4:45 P.M.in the Council informal meeting room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members: Puzzello, Kelly, Slavinskas,
Zakrzewski, Washington, Coleman, Luecke, Duda, and Ladewski; Ann Brewneal, Jack
Dillon, Bob Nagel, Ken Smidzinski, Don Porter, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. -
Mr. Smidzinski then presented substitute Bill No. 127-94 which would amend
Article 2 of Chapter 17 related to pretreatment requirements for the use of public sewers.
It was noted that the substitute Bill incorporates 2 changes. The first is incorporated
to clarify the oil and grease limitations and the second changes the PH limitations for New
Energy from 12.5 to 12. He noted that a total of four basic changes are incorporated in
response to recommendations made by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Following discussion, Council Member Luecke made a motion, seconded by
Council Member Coleman that substitute Bill No. 127-94 be recommended favorably to
Council. The motion passed.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 4:55 P.M.
