Jones Approved and signed by me 4,11,ftlagr2 20 L� Mayor BILL NO. 46-22 ORDINANCE NO. 10880-22 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN DEPARTMENTAL AND CITY SERVICES OPERATIONS FOR THE YEAR 2022 OF $110,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND (#101), $3,348,550 FROM THE DCI FEDERAL GRANT FUND (#212), $25,000 FROM THE LAW ENFORCEMENT CONTINUING EDUCATION FUND (#220), $475,000 FROM THE MVH RESTRICTED FUND (#266), $10,000 FROM THE INDIANA RIVER RESCUE FUND (#291), $161,819 FROM THE LOCAL INCOME TAX ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FUND (#408), $332,253 FROM THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACTION GRANT FUND (#410), $314,270 FROM THE PROFESSIONAL SPORTS CONVENTION DEVELOPMENT AREA FUND (#413), $1,100,000 FROM THE WATER WORKS OPERATIONS (#620), $240,000 FROM THE SEWER REPAIR INSURANCE FUND (#640), $785,000 FROM THE SEWAGE WORKS OPERATING FUND (#641), AND $8,000 FROM THE FIRE PENSION FUND (#701) STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The Common Council passed the City's 2022 operating and capital budgets via Ordinance #10814-21, passed on October 11, 2021, which included expenditures for various City operations. It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds for operational and capital expenditures necessary for the City to effect provision of services to its citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2022 and set apart within the following designated funds for expenditures as follows: FUND Amount General Fund (#101) $110,000 DCI Federal Grant (#212) $3,348,550 Law Enforcement Continuing Education (#220) $25,000 MVH Restricted (#266) $475,000 Indiana River Rescue (#291) $10,000 Local Income Tax Economic Development (#408) $161,819 Urban Development Action Grant (410) $332,253 Professional Sports Convention Development Area (#413) $314,270 Water Works Operations (#620) $1,100,000 Sewer Repair Insurance (#640) $240,000 Sewage Works Operating (#641) $785,000 Fire Pension (#701) $8,000 TOTAL $ 6,909,892 Section II.
