Thursday morning South Bend Common Council President Sharon McBride along with fellow
Council Members Sheila Niezgodski, Karen White, Rachel Tomas-Morgan, Troy Warner and
Canneth Lee will present a process plan for selection of a new Director of the Community Police
Review Board.
Additionally, the Council Members will also present and discuss a second separate process
detailing the selection and appointment of the Review Board membership.
The six Council Members filed a Resolution detailing both the processes Wednesday
[http://docs.southbendin.gov/weblink/0/doc/351518/Page1.aspx] The Resolution will have a public
hearing and possible vote by the full Council at the Council’s Monday March 14th meeting.
“It is time for Council and the Mayor to fulfill its commitment to the citizens and create a
transparent process as we select and appoint those that will take on the duties of the Community
Police Review Board,” Council President Sharon McBride.
