Count U of the £ity of §outs 3Beu.b: The August 24, 1992 meeting of the Zoning and Vacation Committee was called to order by its Vice-Chairperson, Council Member Ann Puzzello at 3:30 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room. Persons in attendance included Council Members: Washington, Puzzello, Luecke, Zakrzewski, Coleman, Kelly, and Duda; Jon Hunt, Mike Dobson, Tom Eddington, John Byorni,Don Porter, Cleo Hickey,and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrrand. The first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 64-92 which was a request to vacate the first north south alley east of South Clinton. Mr. Mike Dobson made the presentation. He showed a final site plan prepared by Peirce and Associates. Cleo Hickey indicated that the Economic Development Department would like additional landscaping. It was indicated by Council Member Puzzello that such a request was more proper at the zoning hearing. Following further discussion Council Member Washington made a motion seconded by Council Member Coleman that Bill No. 64-92 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 54-92 which is a request to vacate the first north- south alley south of Rush Street in the first east-west alley south of east Monroe Street. Cleo Hickey made the presentation. She showed the Monroe Park site plan to the Committee. Following discussion Council Member Coleman made a motion seconded by Council Member Washington that Bill No. 54-92 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 65-92 which is a Bill to vacate the first north-south alley west of south Rush Street and the first east-west alley south of the east Monroe. Cleo Hickey presented the "Grading and Utility Plan" of Peirce and Associates (copy attached). It was indicated that the Monroe Park Apartments would have 58 units and that an Easement Agreement would be given in order to have access to one garage in question. Council Member Coleman asked for a status update and was advised that the project had gone through the Design Review Committee. Following further discussion Council Member Coleman made a motion seconded by Council Member Washington that Bill No. 65-92 be recommemded favorably to council. The motion passed.
