The October 25, 1993 meeting of the Personnel and Finance
Committee was called to order by its Chairperson Council
Member Ann Puzzello at 3 :50 p.m. in the Council Informal
Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Luecke,
Washington, Kelly, Puzzello, Slavinskas, Zakrzweski,
Coleman, Duda, and Ladewski; Jenny Pitts Manier, Don
Porter, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
Council member Puzzello noted that the only item to be
reviewed by the Committee was Bill No. 85-93 which would
appropriate $1, 271. 40 from the Coveleski Improvement Fund
for the purpose of providing flood relief to the City of
Davenport, Iowa.
Jenny Pitts Manier of the City Attorney's Office stated that
she would be available for questions. She noted that Mayor
Joseph E. Kernan would present the Bill this evening.
Council Member Coleman questioned what the state of
conditions were in Davenport in light of the flooding
situation.
Following further discussion, Council Member Coleman made a
motion, seconded by Council Member Washington, that Bill
No. 85-93 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion
passed.
There being no further business to come before the Committee
the meeting was adjourned at 3 : 55 p.m.
