There were numerous underground utilities near the proposed boring locations that were unable to be accurately located/marked by the City. As such, we needed to contract a private locator to assist with advancing the borings to limit the risk of drilling into an underground utility for both our safety and for the convenience and safety of the residents and businesses affected by those utilities. The use of private locates was not anticipated and therefore not included in our original fee proposal. HWC is requesting reimbursement for the private locator fees in the amount of $1,300.00.
