SPECIFIC INTENT: The primary intent of the specifications is to show or define the essential minimum requirements for this equipment, and all quotes will be considered for manufacturer=s standard components or equipment deemed by bidders to comply with and satisfactorily meet performance standards detailed by the specifications. References to specific manufacturer, vendor or name brand are meant for descriptive purposes only and are not intended to restrict the scope of the material quote. The Owner reserves the right to render final judgment as to acceptability for our needs. The South Bend Community School Corporation requires that the supplies used and or purchased with respect to this bid, proposal or quote be manufactured in the United States. Quotes must reflect the fact that the South Bend Community School Corporation is exempt f rom Federal Excise Tax and Indiana Sales Tax. Prices and all terms and conditions on quote proposals must remain firm and cannot be changed during the period for delivery of the items quote and also for a period of ninety (90) days after quote opening whether or not the School Corporation has awarded a contract or purchase order by that date. South Bend Community School Corporation reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities of any item(s) prior to quote award. Workman's Compensation and Occupational Disease Insurance As required by law including employer's liability. Specifically including coverage in the state in which the work is to be performed $100,000 2. General Liability Insurance $500,000 per person bodily injury, $500,000 per occurrence bodily injury, and $100,000 per occurrence property damage. 3. Comprehensive Automobile Insurance $250,000 per person bodily injury, 500,000 per occurrence bodily injury, and 100,000 per occurrence property damage. All automobile insurance must include coverage for all owned, non-owned, and hired automobiles. 4. Umbrella Liability Insurance $1,000,000 minimum. 5. Aircraft Liability Insurance Liability insurance in amounts acceptable to Owner. If aircraft is not to be used, "No aircraft is intended for use and said insurance for same is not required" statement shall be inserted on certificate of insurance. 6. Proof of Carriage of Insurance Contractor shall not commence work under this contract until he has obtained all insurance required, as specified herein, and such insurance has been approved by the South Bend Community School Corporation.
