The January 27, 1992 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee was called to order
by its Chairperson, Council Member Ann Puzzello at 4:15 p.m. in the Council Informal
Meeting Room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Zakrzewski, Duda, Coleman, Luecke,
Washington, Kelly, Puzzello, Slavinskas and Ladewski; Jenny Pitts Manier, Katie
Humphreys,Don Porter, John Leisenring, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
The Committee heard a presentation by Mr. John Leisenring on Bill No. 6-92 which would
authorize Tax Anticipation Time Warrants for 1992. He noted that the City cannot borrow
more than 90 % of the expected deficit. It is anticipated that interest rates would be
between 4 or 5%.
Council Member Ladewski questioned whether the City contacts larger taxpayers and
requests that they pay their taxes earlier. He noted that such a policy was in effect several
years ago.
Following further discussion, Council Member Coleman made a motion, seconded by
Council Member Ladewski, that Bill No. 6-92 be recommended favorably to Council. The
motions passed.
There being no further business to come before the Committee the meeting was adjourned
at 4:25 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Council Member Ann Puzzello, Chairperson
Personnel and Finance Committee
