SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
May 17, 2022, 10:00 AM

Members present: Brad Rohrscheib, Toy Villa, Darwin Shipley
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 10:03 AM by Rohrscheib.
2. Approval of minutes
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Shipley the minutes from the previous
meeting held on May 3rd, 2022, were approved unanimously.
3. Approval of Special Event Permits
a. St Joe Grade School Field Day-June 3, 2022
The application for the annual St Joe Grade School Field Day was discussed by the
Special Events Committee. The application requested the closure of St Louis St between
LaSalle and Colfax so the area can be safely used for games and activities. With no
changes from previous years the committee had no further questions or concerns.
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Shipley the permit was approved
unanimously.
b. Clover Street Block Party-June 25, 2022
William Laske applied for a Neighborhood Block Party that includes a street closure of
Clover Street between Ruskin and Hildreth for the hours of 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. The
party will feature games, music, and food. The application included all the necessary
neighborhood signatures. The committee had no further questions or concerns.
Upon a motion by Rohrscheib and seconded by Villa the permit was approved
unanimously.

With no additional business, Rohrscheib motioned for adjournment and Villa seconded. The
meeting ended at 10:08 AM.
