COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

The August 29, 1991 meeting of the Committee of the Whole of
the South Bend Common Council was called to order by its
chairperson, Council Member Loretta Duda at 4:10 p.m. in the
Council informaal meeting room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members Puzzello,
Luecke, Duda, Soderberg,and Slavinskas, John Voorde, Norman
Primus, Don Porter, Ed Talley, Jim Larkin, Barbara Gatto,
Kevin R. Gorham, current and former members of the Board of
Directors of Community Recycling, Inc. , and other concerned
citizens.
Council Member Duda noted that the meeting was called to
address two issues, namely, redistricting and to receive an
update and re qu est from Community Recycling Inc.
Mr. Norman Primus brought the committee up to date with
regard to his redistricting procedures. Following that
presentation, Mr. Ed Talley of Community Recycling then
updated the committee on this not-for-profit company, past
and current status. Numerous documents were presented to
the committee (copies attached) .
Following much discussion the meeting was adjourned at 6:10
p.m.
