VENUES PARKS & ARTS TEAM UP WITH NEIGHBORHOOD TO FORM NEW OFFICIAL GREENSPACE
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Venues Parks & Arts (VPA) has teamed up with the Edgewater
neighborhood to form a new greenspace.
Receiving a new name and some additional care and maintenance from the VPA Facilities and Grounds
division, the soon-to-be renamed “Edgewater Bank” will offer a small area of community open space at
the intersection of Bronson St. and Edgewater Ave. along the St. Joseph River.
“The more opportunities we have to create spaces for our community to enjoy nature and congregate
together, the better,” said VPA Executive Director, Aaron Perri.
Supported by Council Member Henry Davis, Jr., VPA, and the surrounding Edgewater neighborhood, the
space will have a small dedication ceremony on Sunday, May 1 at 12 pm for the unveiling of the new name
and celebrate an additional community space.
