RE: Request for Traffic Control Device – Handicapped Accessible Parking Space Sign
Dear Ms. Perry:
At its April 26, 2022 meeting, the Board of Public Works denied your request for the
installation of a handicapped accessible parking space sign at 621 Portage Ave., as it does not
meet the requirements. After review of your application and the area in front of your home, it
was determined that the parking pad at the back of the property will provide better access than
the high traffic access on Portage Ave.

which has high volume, high speeds for vehicles. Nearest crosswalk is a greater distance
