A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY
TO THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Authority ("Authority) is the owner of a parcel of real
property situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, described at Exhibit A ("Real Property"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14.5-12, the Authority may dispose of real property; and
WI~REAS, Pursuantto I.C. 36-1-11-8, the Authoritymay exchange or transferproperty with another
governmental entity upon terms and conditions agreed upon by the two (2) entities as evidenced by the adoption
of substantially identical resolutions of each entity; and
WHEREAS, the Authority is desirous of transferring the Real Property to the City of South Bend, for
the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment so that the property may be sold for purposes of
development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the transfer of the Real Property situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, and generally
• described at Exhibit A to the City of South Bend, for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment
for the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) shall be, and hereby is, approved
2. That the President and Secretary of the Authority shall be, and hereby are, authorized,
respectively, to execute and attest to the execution of a quitclaim deed conveying all of the right, title and
interest of the South Bend Redevelopment Authority in and to the Real Property to the City of South Bend, for
the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment upon the occurrence of the conditions set forth
immediately above.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption.
ADOPTED at a meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Authority held on
April 26, 2000, at 1200 County-City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601.

EXHIBIT A
That part of the West ~/i of the Southeast Quarter of Section 19, Township 38 North, Range 2 East,
German Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana whichis described as: Beginning at a 5/8"capped rebar
set on the North and South Quarter line of said Section which is North 00°57'37" West, (North
00°57'33" West, record,) (an assumed bearing) (North 00°57'33" West, record), 1176.34 feet from
a 11/a"iron rod in a monument box found marking the South Quarter Post of said Section; thence North
00°57'37" West, 1455.42 feet to a capped iron found marking the center of Section 19; thence along
the East and West Quarter line of said Section; North 89°39'26" East (North 89°39'30" East, record),
647.48 feet to a 5/8" capped rebar set on the Westerlyright-of--way line of the U.S. 31By-Pass; thence
