PERSONNEL AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

The April 9, 1990, meeting of the Personnel and Finance
Committee was called to order by its chairperson, Council
Member Ann Puzzello at 5:40 PM in the Council informal
meeting room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members: Luecke,
Niezgodski, Soderberg, Puzzello, Slavinskas, Zakrzewski,
Coleman, Duda, Voorde; John Phair, Hedy Robinson, John
Leisenring, Mike Meeks, members of the news media, and
Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
Council Member Puzzello then called upon Mr. John Leisenring
to review Bill No. 23-90 which would appropriate $3852. 00
from the Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium Fund.
Mr. Leisenring noted that this appropriation would be used
to install a combination gate and check valves in the locker
rooms at the stadium. He noted that currently the drains
are backing up with water and sewage. This was not
originally addressed in the original building
specifications.
Council Member Luecke questioned the amount of money in the
fund and Mr. Leisenring noted that there is approximately
$60-70, 000. 00. He noted further that the funds are received
from sales at concessions with the first $100,000. 00 being
used for park maintenance, the next $50,000. 00 for capital
improvements, and the next $25,000. 00 for neighborhood
improvements.
Following further discussion, Council Member Zakrzewski made
a motion, seconded by Council Member Luecke that Bill No.
23-90 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion
passed. There being no further business to come before the
committee, the meeting was adjourned at 5:45 PM.
