AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA APPROPRIATING $42,000 FROM FUND 212, THE
COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FUND, FOR CONSULTANT
SERVICES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT
Statement of Purpose and Intent:
In order to provide an efficient, effective organizational structure for the
Department of Community & Economic Development, the City needs assistance
from an outside consultant to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the
current organization and make recommendations for improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City
of South Bend, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of $42,000 is hereby appropriated from the City of
South Bend's Community & Economic Development Fund (Fund 212) to be used
for consultant services in the Department of Community & Economic
Development.
SECTION II. The Department of Community & Economic Development
will enter into a contract for the period 1/15/07 through 12/31/07. The consultant's
quarterly reports and the final report shall be filed in the City Clerk's office.
SECTION III. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
