JOINT MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL AND
BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY

The Executive Session of the Joint Meeting of the South Bend
Common Council and the Board of Public Safety was called to
order by Council President Tom Zakrzewski and Mr. Elmer Carr
on February 1, 1990 at 4:40 p.m. in the Council informal
meeting room.
Persons in attendance included Council Members: Voorde,
Soderberg, Puzzello, Niezgodski, Coleman, Zakrzewski,
Luecke, and Duda; Mr. Elmer Carr, Mr. Jack Bland, Mr.
Thadeus T. Zakowski, Mayor Kernan, Katherine Humphreys,
Thomas Bodnar, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
Council President Zakrzewski noted that the purpose of. the
meeting was to discuss strategy with regard to collective
bargaining pursuant to Indiana Code Section 5-14-1.5-6 (b)
(2) (A) .

Council President Zakrzewski on behalf of the Common Council
hereby certifies that the joint meeting was held for the
discussion of the subject matter addressed in this
memorandum and that no other subject matter was discussed
other than that set forth in the Notice of Executive Session
dated January 29, 1990.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
