Persons in attendance included : Councilmen: Taylor, Beck, Zakrzewski, Barcome , Puzzello, Serge, and Braboy; James Wensits, Jon Hunt, Betsy Harriman, Elizabeth Leonard, Ann Kolata, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. • Councilman Braboy noted that the purpose of the meeting was to review two bills dealing with Community Development Funds. The first bill reviewed was Bill No . 87-87 which is a bill to transfer five hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($550, 000.00) from various accounts within the division of community development . The second bill is Bill No . 89-87 which is a bill to appropriate two million four-hundred and eight thou- sand one-hundred dollars ($2 ,408 , 100. 00) from the Community Development Block Rent Fund for the purpose of defraying expenses of the Division of Community Development for 1988 . Elizabeth Leonard reviewed both bills for the council period. She noted that the appropriation was necessary in order to begin the 1988 program. She further indicated that the City Council had met several times at previous meetings to discuss the various programs ,, addressed by such funding. The CAC recommended both of the bills favorably at their public hearing held September 16, 1987 . Following discussion, Councilman Serge made a motion seconded by Councilman Beck that Bill Nos . 87-87 and 89-87 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed.
