The June 8, 1987 meeting of the Human Resources and Economic
Development Committee was called to order at 4 : 15 p.m. in the
Council informal meeting room.
Persons in attendance included : Councilmen Braboy ,
Zakrzewski, Taylor, Barcome, Puzzello, Beck, Serge, and Voorde;
K.C. Pocius , Jim Wensits , and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
Councilman Braboy noted that the purpose of the meeting
to review Bill No. 49-87 which would appropriate $321,000.00 from
the Redevelopment State Grant Program Fund to be administered by
the Department of Economic Development .
Mr . K.C . Pocius then briefly reviewed the bill. He
indicated that the City had received $ 160,500.00 in a loan, and
$160, 500.00 in a matching grant from the State Department of
Commerce. These sums of monies would be used to construct a new
road from approximately 1511 South Olive west for a distance of
eight hundred feet (800') to the current Mastic site. He then
showed a site development plan for the road construction
Following discussion by the Committee, Councilman Puzzello
made a motion, seconded by Councilman Beck, that Bill No. 49-87
go to Council favorably. The motion passed.
There being no further business to come before the
Committee , the meeting was adjourned at 4: 20 p.m.
