STATEMENT ON BECK’S LAKE
“This evening, the city will once again revisit the issue of environmental racism within its own city
limits. No one is blaming the current administration for years of neglect and mis-mismanagement
however we are asking for the administration not to dodge its responsibility to the residents of this
community. The area we so eloquently define as the “LAKE” needs to be free of toxic lead and
arsenic. We deserve a public apology, reinvestment and justice.”
