At its February 22, 2022 meeting, the Board of Public Works approved the application
for the temporary placement of three (3) honorary signs in the name of Pastor Leroy Sutton St.
at Napoleon St. & St. Louis Blvd., Napoleon St. & St. Peter St., Napoleon St. & Notre Dame
Ave.

ORIGINAL NAME Napoleon St. (3 total signs requested for the 700-1000
Blocks of Napoleon St.) Please see application.
NEW NAME: Pastor Leroy Sutton St.
CRITERIA FOR HONORARY STREET SIGNAGE IS LISTED IN BPW RESOLUTION NO. 48-
2009. PLEASE INSERT YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS IN THE APPROPRIATE FIELD
BELOW FOR THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
1.The signage does/does not constitute a public safety hazard or public nuisance.
2.The signage or feature would/would not interfere with normal City operations or services.
3.All application, petition, and fee requirements have been met.
PUBLIC WORKS: No objections, pending they reduce the length of the name to “Pastor
Leroy Sutton St.” so it may fit on a 36”x9” honorary sign. If a larger sign is required, then
we provide an unfavorable recommendation because it would make the sign post
unstable (per Traffic & Lighting Dept.)
COMMUNITY INVESTMENT: Favorable Recommendation
