EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL

The February 25, 1987, executive session of the Common Council was called to
order by Council President Joseph Serge at 4:00 p.m. in the Council informal
meeting roan.
Persons in attendance included: Councilmen Serge, Braboy, Beck, Puzzello,
Zakrzewski, Barcome, Paszek, and Voorde; Mr. Daniel W. Rudy of the Barnes
and Thornburg law firm and member of the City Negotiating Team; Mr. Jon R.
Hunt, Chairman of the City Negotiating Team; Mr. Michael L. Vance, member of
the City Negotiating Team; and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Coontil Attorney
and member of the City Negotiating Team.
Council President Serge noted that the executive session was being held
pursuant to the memorandum notice issued and posted February 23, 1987. He
noted that the purpose of the executive session was to discuss collective
bargaining strategy pursuant to I.C. , 5-14-1.5-6(2)(A) .
The Council was briefed with regard to the current status of the response to
the letter received from the Fraternal Otder of Police, South Bend Lodge #36
dated February 10, 1987.
Discussion then took place among the Council and the Wage Team with regard
to the collective bargaining strategy.
It is hereby certified that no subject matter in the executive session other
than the subject matter specified in the public notice dated February 23,
1987, was discussed.
There being no further business to came before the Council, the meeting was
adjourned at 4:25 p.m.
